How coverage works

Where staffed IT support actually reaches in the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line.

Kansas City IT Service Areas

  • Remote first: most support is delivered within minutes from the help desk, wherever the office is
  • On-site when it matters: our partner ThrottleNet states that mobile technicians serve the greater Kansas City area from its downtown office
  • Both states: ThrottleNet's published coverage list runs from Johnson County, Kansas to Clay and Jackson counties, Missouri
  • Verify, do not assume: ask any provider which of these areas its staff reach within the SLA

Kansas City, Missouri

Downtown, the Crossroads, the River Market and the Country Club Plaza hold most of the metro's professional-services firms, and the office towers along Main Street and Grand Boulevard are where remote-first support earns its keep. ThrottleNet's Kansas City office is at 1100 Main Street, Suite 400, in the downtown core. Business IT support and managed services for the city are covered on the IT Support and IT Services pages.

North Kansas City and the Northland

North Kansas City's industrial district, Gladstone and Parkville, and the office parks along Interstate 29 and Interstate 35 make up the Northland, a market with its own IT providers and its own commute pattern. Coverage here is remote-first with on-site visits from downtown. A dedicated Northland page is planned once demand for it is confirmed.

Overland Park

Johnson County's largest city and the metro's densest concentration of corporate offices, along the College Boulevard corridor and around Corporate Woods. Several of the shortlist providers are based here, which is worth knowing when comparing on-site coverage. ThrottleNet lists Overland Park in its published service area. A dedicated Overland Park page is planned.

Olathe

The Johnson County seat and a manufacturing and logistics base as well as an office market, with Garmin's headquarters anchoring the technology employers. ThrottleNet lists Olathe in its published service area. A dedicated Olathe page is planned.

Lenexa

Lenexa's warehouse and light-industrial parks along Interstate 35, plus the newer City Center offices, create a mix of shop-floor and office IT needs. ThrottleNet lists Lenexa in its published service area. A dedicated Lenexa page is planned.

Liberty

The Clay County seat, home to William Jewell College and a growing distribution corridor along Interstate 35 north of the river. ThrottleNet lists Liberty in its published service area. A dedicated Liberty page is planned.

Lee's Summit

One of the metro's fastest-growing suburbs, with professional offices along the Interstate 470 corridor and a downtown of small firms. ThrottleNet lists Lee's Summit in its published service area. A dedicated Lee's Summit page is planned.

Independence

The Jackson County seat, with a medical and professional-services base around the Independence Center area and the Truman Library district. ThrottleNet lists Independence in its published service area. A dedicated Independence page is planned.

Kansas City, Kansas

Wyandotte County, from the Fairfax industrial district to the Village West and Legends development, is an industrial and logistics market first. ThrottleNet's published coverage reaches Kansas-side locations including Leavenworth to the northwest. A dedicated Kansas City, Kansas page is planned.
