Each row is what the provider publishes about itself. Presence means a street address or office city on the provider's own site. Service focus is the provider's own list, abbreviated.

How to use the shortlist

Inclusion is not a ranking and not an endorsement, including of our partner. The table exists so that you can send the same ten-line requirements brief to several providers and compare the answers on equal terms. Write the brief first: users, locations, systems, hours, compliance obligations and the two or three outcomes that matter. Then ask each provider the same questions from the How to Choose a Provider guide and compare the evidence they send back, not the pitch.

Narrow the list fairly

  1. Confirm scope

Does the provider's published service list cover every system in your brief? Strike the ones that do not, or ask what they subcontract.

  2. Compare SLAs

Ask each for response and resolution targets by severity and how they are measured. Strike anyone who answers with an adjective.

  3. Test security and compliance depth

Ask what happens on day one of an incident, who leads, and what it costs. Ask for the last backup restore test date.

  4. Check contracts and references

Term, exit, ownership of documentation and credentials, and two references at your size. Then decide.

Provider shortlist FAQ

How does a company get on this list?

By ranking on page one for Kansas City managed-IT searches or being named in AI-assistant answers for the same questions on the collection dates, then having its facts verified on its own website.

Is this a ranking?

No. Providers are listed alphabetically after our partner, and the table contains no scores.

Why is ThrottleNet listed first?

Because it is the partner provider for this site, and readers should see that before anything else. The label says so in the table and in the notice above it.

Does every provider have a Kansas City office?

Not all publish one. Where an address was found it is listed; where only a city, phone area code or service page was found, the table says exactly that.

How often are facts rechecked?

Quarterly, and whenever a provider or reader reports a change through the Complaints page. The last-checked column shows the date.
